Drafts are contracts in the making. You can create a draft from scratch or pick a template as your starting point.

All contracts created on Contractbook will be a draft at some point in the process and you can find all your drafts under the Drafts tab under Documents.

Your drafts will keep their status as drafts until you are ready to sign them and turn them into contracts by clicking on the Sign button at the bottom of the page.

Drafts are especially convenient for collaboration as they can be shared with relevant parties before they are sent for signature.

Reuse an old contract

If you want to reuse one of your old contracts you can easily do so:

  1. Find it on your documents list and open it.
  2. Click Save as a new draft.

If you need to send out a contract multiple times, to various recipients, then you have the feature to duplicate a draft. Duplicating a draft creates another copy of your current draft and can save you some time.

Hint:

Save the draft as a template, if you need to use the same draft several times. Learn how to create templates by reading: Create a Template.
