I sent a contract. What now?

This short article explains what happens after you have signed a contract.

Monitor the status of your contract

After you press Sign and send an email is automatically sent to the contract recipient(s) with a link to the contract. This means that you will not have to take any further action unless the contract recipient requires it.

You can monitor the status of your contract by finding it under pending contracts and checking the small icons to the right of the contract title. If the eye is green, the recipient has opened the contract. If the padlock is green, the recipient has signed the contract. If either symbol is grey no action has been taken.

How does the recipient sign the contract?

It's quite simple! The recipient of your contract will receive an email with a link, which leads the recipient to our platform to review and sign the contract. The user signs with a code they receive via SMS just like you.

Contract recipients do not need to have a Contractbook account to sign contracts.

If no action has been taken on your contract an automated email reminder will be sent to the contract recipient after 2, 5, 10, 30, 45, and 60 days. Once the contract is signed, or 60 days has passed, the reminders will stop.

If you like, you can also assign a task for yourself to check up on your contract by clicking on the small note icon next to the contract title.
