If you work with standard agreements in large numbers, this automation is perfect for you. Via an integration with Zapier and Typeform, Contractbook enables you to autogenerate signed versions of these contracts by collecting the necessary data through simple questionnaires.
You can use the setup for any kind of agreement that is completely similar in each case. A classic example is companies that needs to gather consent from participants at events in order to use photo- and video material recorded there afterwards. We also have companies that use it to collect signed data processing agreements with their users, and sales teams that generates finished contracts on the spot.
In short, the automation works like this. You present the signing party with a Typeform questionnaire where they fill in their signature details and answer maybe just a fe basic questions. Based on this information, a contract is generated, send and signed by you containing the data they have submitted in the Typeform. They will when we able to sign the contract right away.
Automated data processing agreements - here is how they work
The end result will be a custom-tailored questionnaire that collects all the necessary data and automatically generates a standardised agreement. If the content of your agreement is always the exact same every time (which is often the case with data processing agreements), all the information you require is name and email. You can collect that data through a Typeform questionnaire, and once the questionnaire is submitted the contract is automatically created, signed on your behalf and sent to the specified recipient. The end-uses will then simply access the contract from an encrypted link in an email, read the contract and verify their signature with an SMS verification-code. Easy!
How to set up your integration
All you really need to do is connect the answer to specific questions from your questionnaire to specific fields in your contact template in Contractbook.
- In Contractbook, you will have to create your own data processing agreement template and insert editable fields for any variable info that you will ask in your Typeform. Once your template is ready, go and create an API key in your Profile Settings on Contractbook. Now you need a questionnaire.
- In Typeform, you shall register a free account if you do not already have one. Create a new Typeform from scratch and be sure to ask at least for the recipient's name and email. This is also where you need to ask questions for each additional variable in your agreement. Now you connect the dots.
- In Zapier, you must also create a free user unless you do not already have one. Create a new zap and choose Typeform as your first step.
A) Your first step will always act as the trigger initiating a series of actions. If you have not made any integrations with Typeform before, you will need to connect your account. When that is done you can select the questionnaire that you created for this purpose.
B) Now add the second step which becomes the action that is executed when your trigger is activated. Select Contractbook as the next step and connect your account with the API key that you made from your Contractbook profile. Choose the action to be Create a contract and start matching your answers from the questionnaire with the editable fields from your contract-template.
